WORKSHOP
Saturday February 26th
10am - 2pm
Liu Zi Jue
Written by Tao Hongjing (AD 456 – 536) for health improvement and promotion of healing and longevity.
Liu Zi Jue regulates and controls the rise and fall of Qi through the inhalation and exhalation of six sounds.
Development and modification of Liu Zi Jue over the centuries created much confusion as to the pronunciation of the associated Chinese characters thus in 2003 the Sport of China Administration released a revised version which is the version you will be introduced to at this workshop.
Wu Qin Xi
Created by China's great physician Hua Tuo in the last stage of the Eastern Han Dynasty(25-220).
He summarized the traditional practice and has included the movements of the tiger, deer, bear, ape, and bird.
Wu Qin Xi is used mainly for calming the internal spirit in order to enhance the accumulation of qi and regulate its flow through the body's meridians. Externally, it is used for strengthening the tendons, ligaments and bones and building a resource of power.
